There will be a groundbreaking ceremony to launch the construction of UNITED CAPITAL FERTILIZER ZAMBIA LIMITED, a mega state of the art Ultra Modern fertilizer plant in Chilanga District on 1st November 2021 at 14:00hrs. This is in response to the high cost of fertilizer in Zambia. The company will be the first Zambian company to produce fertilizer straight from locally sourced materials.
This investment worth US$308m will result in the reduction of the cost of fertilizer by as much as 50% wIthin 18 months of production.
The plant will have a robust state of the art integrated cross-circuit production process such that there will be no emission of either smoke or gasses. The smoke will be converted into a gas by-product for which the company already has a captive market.
