United Capital Fertilizer Zambia was deeply honoured to host Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, at our Lusaka West facilities during his visit to Zambia.
Just hours after his arrival, President Boko made a powerful gesture of regional cooperation and solidarity by touring both our Urea Plant and NPK Plant. Accompanied by senior officials, he was taken through the progress of the $600 million Urea Plant, which is now over 90% complete, as well as the D-Compound NPK facility that continues to serve farmers across the nation.
During the tour, President Boko expressed his impression at the scale, quality, and ambition of the investment. His words of encouragement underscored the significance of this project not only for Zambia, but for regional food security and industrial development.
For us at UCF, this visit was a moment of pride and progress. It demonstrated the recognition of our work at the highest level and the growing importance of cross-border collaboration in agriculture and manufacturing.
As we near the completion of our Urea Plant, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide reliable, high-quality fertilizer that empowers farmers, strengthens communities, and supports regional growth.
United Capital Fertilizer is proud to be Fertilizing Africa.
